Look Ma! One hand!

It seems I spend a LOT of time in the recliner feeding my little man these days. The only was to keep Leda from driving my nuts when this is happening is to turn on some good old Dora. Since I need something to keep me otherwise occupied, I have become incredibly adept at surfing & typing with one hand. That is how I bring you today's post.

Continuing on with posting photos from the archives, here is Miss Eleda's second birthday party. The plan was to do a garden tea party, but the garden part kind of got nixed by that morning's rain. We did still get to sit outside, just not in the garden area that I had planned. Whatever - go with the flow.

Here's my pretty princess in her tutu dress, made by the amazing Shawnna (http://www.yourundercoverbaby.com/tutus.html). We had tried it on her once before, and she was not a fan, so I was a little worried but hoped for the best. Well don't you know, she starts melting down the moment we got the dress over her head.

I decided a negotiation was in order, so I broke out the lovely flower clippy made by my other friend Shawna (maddiebells@gmail.com) and convinced her that she could wear the flower clippy if she wore the dress. Score one for mommy. We already knew she was a princess, but the tiara and gloves really sealed it all up.

By this point she had become SUCH a fan of the tutu dress that we couldn't get it off her! She literally almost ended up wearing it to bed!

Here comes daddy with her birthday cupcake. I am saddened by the fact that I didn't take a photo of the flower cupcakes I made, but the saddness is overshadowed by the fact that it gives me an excellent excuse to make them again!

Eleda loved her new wagon... thanks Grandma Janet!

I made little tea sndwiches for the day, Grandma & Grandpa brought the pretty flowers, and my friend Stacy hooked us up with the awesome butterflies for the straws!

And here's the birthday girl discovering her new kitchen. It was a huge hit, along with the apron and hat made by yours truly.
