Eleda asked me to take her picture
She's so funny. Most days she whines for me not to take her picture, but the other day she was all over it. Here's the result:

Halloween 2009
I got a great deal on Eleda's halloween costume at http://www.buycostumes.com/. Check it out - they have great sales all the time!
We decided to trick or treat in my mom & dad's neighbourhood. They live on the quietest little crescent, so we didn't have to worry about traffic, and just like when I was a little kid... there are so few kids that trick or treat around there that the haul is always impressive.
Here's my little lady with her pumpkin clippies and halloween tatoos.
We hadn't carved our pumpkin yet, so daddy got the ball rolling:

Lol.. he cut the hole so small, Leda's hand was the only one that could possibly have fit inside!

The dog wanted in on the action.

The house at the end of my parents street had this pumpkin up in early October and Eleda was OBSESSED with it. Every time we came to or left my parents house we HAD to drive by the giant pumpkin. Since we were going up to their door anyways, I figured she could touch it. Seriously, this think was her Elvis!

The many faces (ok, there's only two) of Ashton
I figured I am due to post some newer pics... these are over the last couple of days.
When Eleda was a baby, she rarely cried, so this whole colic thing with Ashton is really new to us. We have tried every suggestion we've been given and have found a few that work. Here is a face I'm all too familiar with:

But there are these beautiful moments, just every now and then, where he closes his eyes and is my quiet sleeping little prince.
Daddy was bouncing Ashton on his knee and Leda wanted in on the action. Then this happened. She loves him so much and shows him every day.
And last but certainly not least, who doesn't love baby feet?

Fun in the leaves
These shots were all taken over a few days playing in the leaves. Eleda didn't really get the whole "jumping" concept, but she was happy to pick them up and throw them in the air! I was actually quite impressed with so many of the shots that I couldn't narrow them down as well as I would have hoped, so please enjoy...
Wundermums first annual Halloween Party
Do you know how boring it is to be at home on modified bedrest? It's freaking boring. So I took the opportunity to plan a party for the kids of all my fellow Wundermums (http://www.wundermums.com/). We held it in the hall at my church and everyone brought something to eat. We split the bill on the hall rental and craft supplies, and every mom brought something for each kid to "trick or treat". I won't post pics of other people's kids without their permission (and let's face it, I'm not on bedrest anymore and now have 2 kids... no time to get permission!) so these are just a few of my little munchkin.

The cutest little ducky I've ever seen!

My pretty lady
These shots are from this fall, I just felt the desire to snap away at my pretty little girl, and she was complying... for the most part.

Things took a turn for the worse here. I suppose we all have our limits.

Autumn fun at the farm
We enjoyed a day at Ferguson's during their pumpkin festival, and then I went home and got to know my photo editing software a little better. This day was also my first really trying to shoot on my camera's manual setting (not by choice - my lens was stuck on manual focus and I couldn't figure that out, so the only way to get any kind of decent shot was on the manual setting).
A good example of focal B&W:

This is the first time Eleda ever got her face painted. She was so excited and sat very still while the pumpkin was painted - there were even sparkles on the black parts!

I over saturated the colour on this shot and blurred the edges a little:

After trudging through several inches of mud in the corn maze with daddy, we waited to ride the horse drawn wagon.

I'm in love with this shot. Something about the movement in her hair, the way the sunlight is hitting her face and those gorgous baby blues just makes this one speak to me.
