New lens!

Since it went on sale, I went out today and got my birthday/mother's day gift: a lovely 50mm f/1.8 lens! I'm excited but also a little apprehensive. I had just gotten the hang of the lens that came with the camera, so I feel like I'm learning all over again.

Eleda was enjoying her bedtime snack and the shots I snapped of her didn't even kind of work out, but I did manage a couple of Ashton. I'm having a really hard time maintaining some level of focus while he thrashes about, but I guess that's par for the course.

The little guy recently found his feet, and let me tell you, they are his very favourite new toy.

For those who've asked, my dad came through with flying colours and should hopefully be home tomorrow!
