Baby brother and sister lamb

When Eleda was baptized, she was given this lovely little lamb that says the prayer that starts "Now I lay me down to sleep". We say this prayer as part of our bedtime ritual every night. Ashton got the same lamb in blue when he was born. Eleda likes to play with them together since they are brother & sister.

Squishy squeeky

Here's my squeeky clean, squishy little guy. He was so happy that I couldn't resist snapping a few frames before Alan had a chance to diaper him... thank goodness there were't any messes!

I am still trying to get used to my newest lens... anyone out there have any tips, especially people who wear glasses? I find I am really having a tough time with manually focusing. My current method of problem solving involves taking many frames, shifting the focus just slightly. This way I seem to get at least a few in-focus frames lol.

I decided to play with these shots too since they were so similar. I think this first one is my fav.

Oh, and of course, here's a squeeky clean princess too:

Art in the grass

After dinner last night, Alan took the kids outside, and Eleda wanted to paint. It was pretty cute to watch her in a t-shirt and a diaper... all the passers by thought it was funny.
Ashton supervised.

I felt the need to photograph Eleda's feet, because they're so stinkin' cute.

Work hard, play hard...

And this is what happens. My boys crashed out on the couch... peace.

Thanks, Stephanie!

Alan's cousin Stephanie is in town this week from Timmins. We hadn't seen her since Eleda was a baby, so it was nice so spend some time with her yesterday. I failed to bring my camera with me for the visit, but I did photograph Eleda wearing the cute little outfit Stephanie got her.

Who's kids are these?

Ashton is starting to look more and more like his Daddy. As much as I think the kids look alike, I don't really think Eleda looks like either one of us! Whatever, how can I care when they're this cute!?!?!

Her first trophy!

Let's start with some Ashton cuteness, because really, who doesn't enjoy that?

Eleda got her very first trophy for soccer. It was very exciting for her first sport. I was so proud of her... she really improved all season long, from crying the whole time and needing one of us on the field with her all the time, to asserting her independence and actually playing a little.

Soccer party

Eleda had her last soccer game today. First we played a little game (Daddy ran interferance since we didn't know we were actually playing a game, so she wasn't wearing shin pads), then we got to go play on the bouncy castles.

Ashton enjoying the warm summer day.

The bouncy castles were a pretty big deal for Eleda. We have been to a few events this summer where they had them, but there were a lot of big kids, and we were afraid she would get smashed around, so we hadn't let her go on. Since all the kids here were around the same age, it was much safer. At first she just wanted to hang out in the corner on her knees...

But eventually she warmed up to it and was bouncing all around. She was very, very reluctant to leave when it was time to get her trophy and keeps talking about the bouncy castles.

Day "off"

Alan worked on Canada day, but they were closed on Friday to have a long weekend instead. We didn't really have any plans for Friday, maybe working around the house, etc. Then Alan gets a call that there is a really important job that really needs some attention in St. Mary's, So we decided to pack up the family and go for a drive. The job was relatively quick, and we then decided to hop over to Stratford for lunch.

We were walking along the river, and Miss Eleda really wanted to put her feet in. We came aceoss a little ramp over the water and Daddy dangled her over the water lol.
Ashton was thrilled too.
We saw ducks...
And one of the beautiful swans.

BBQ

We were invited to a Canada Day / Retirement party held by Alan's company. It was really lovely, but I was apparently too caught up with the kids / food / company too take many photos. This is, in fact, the only one. Thank goodness it's a cute one!

Happy Birthday Canada!

Alan had to work on Canada Day, so I took the kids over to the Argyle Arena with Grandma to check out the festivities. It was a lovely day, with cake, and crafts and lots of fun.

Ashton had to show off his pearly whites:

Eleda and Grandma really enjoyed the sing along!

I realized that morning that Eleda apparently doesn't own any red clothing, so we went with a Gap Canada tee with a maple leaf on it lol.
Rockin her new, handmade headwear...
